Subsurface mapping is used by companies to develop information regarding specific geological areas and make informed decisions on where to explore for oil and gas. Knowledge of seismic data, geological mapping and cross-sections is necessary to determine if it is practical and potentially profitable to drill in a specific area. Reservoir techs assist Petro technical staff by loading, verifying, manipulating and analyzing data related to production, drilling, exploration and seismic activity.

  • Subsurface mapping
  • Gather technical data for analysis
  • Maintain files/records, performing simple calculations and gathering/tabulating data
  • Create models and works with engineer to provide meaningful analysis
  • Monitor production and drilling performance
  • AFE’s and LOE analysis
